Twitter Spaces, the platform’s audio chat room feature, is getting a makeover. The social media platform confirmed that the changes are underway and that they are working on a new Twitter Spaces tab in the app, but did not disclose any information about it. But some images revealed the company’s plans to group Spaces based on common interests like Music.
A report from TechCrunch suggests that Spaces could also get the ‘Your Daily Digest’ treatment, which, as you might think, will be a collection of Spaces from people you already follow or might want to listen to. While Twitter did not say that the images shared by TechCrunch were fake, they did point out that they were, in fact, out of date and inaccurate.
Twitter told TechCrunch that the changes reflected an “early build” of the new experience and could change in the coming days. While the company said it will announce the changes in the near future, there is no timeline on if and when they will be implemented.
A couple of months ago Twitter made it easier for those who use spaces to see information such as who is hosting and what topics are being discussed on the space bar.
